"Endless time loops, never-ending bus rides, checkpoints and remote hotels, solitary shared apartments, yellow-grey Middle Eastern countryside, dubious bars. In the short stories of Syrian journalist and author Rasha Abbas, images of places from her old and new homeland flicker. It revolves around the unfinished nature of crisis experiences, a persistent unease, and the deceptive normalcy of life in war. But it also delves into dreamscapes, fantasies, and old and new memories. The ensemble and director Sebastian Nübling collaborate with artists from the fields of media art, architecture, and electronic music to create their own unique "summary of everything that was."
