I arrive, uncertain of what awaits me. I see a tower disappearing into the clouds, itself resembling a cloud. I step into its dark core, and my gaze immediately rises upwards. A narrow opening allows me to look up into the sky. A sense of unease washes over me; the height frightens me.
My heart skips a beat, imagining what it would be like to soar in a glider. If only it weren't for the confined space, the dark descent below. I step outside and relax. I have solid ground beneath my feet again, yet I still feel as if I'm floating. I'm not entirely sure where I am, but as I approach the facade, I'm granted a breathtaking view of the entire city.
Slowly, I dare to descend. I move as if passing through a cloud, transported back to an ancient time when human flight originated. The idea of being carried through the air by delicate structures is wondrous. The present time becomes vague, glimpsed through the narrow openings to the outside. Once again, my gaze drifts upward. The airspace moves me; I feel free.
Gradually, I return to the present. I can observe the city life outside, but I'm repeatedly transported back to the dream world of flying. The open yet dimly lit spaces enhance the sensation of being closer to the ground, as if I've gradually reached the treetops.
Landed. Happy and serene. But something within me is awakened: the desire to relive that feeling once again.
